[SimpleSearch] Possible bug with landing parameter

Hi all,

I use SimpleSearch and I have the following issue :

My call SimpleSearchForm is in my template like this :


If I call the SimpleSearch result snippet in my template too (below the SimpleSearchForm call) all works fine, results are returned... all is fine

But I want the results to be displayed on another page (let say ID 10).
I modified my simpleSearchForm call like this :


(I tried too without &tpl, or with &tpl first, then &landing... same (no)result.

In my results page I put the snippet like this


The redirection on page ID 10 works fine but always returns "No results found" ...
Did I miss something or is it a bug ? What can I do ?

A few things:

- Whats your search query? (What are you searching for)
- When it redirects to Resource ID 10, what’s the ’search’ REQUEST variable in the URL contain?
- Whats the contents of mySearchForm?
- What browser are you on?

I can do the landing page just fine on mine.

A few answers :

My query is just a simple word (I know this word is present in some pages) like "moteur", when redirecting the request variable seems to be the good one

no quotes or backticks or anything around "moteur" is it normal ?

I tried just with a very basic call with only the landing parameter, the issue still here. (so it is not a problem with my "mySearchFormTpl"...)

Same problem on FF and Chrome...

The "landing" redirect me on the good page no problem, just don’t find any result, but all works fine if all snippets calls are in the template... If the simpleSearchForm is called alone in the template with the landing parameter, and the simpleSearch (result) is called in the landing page, it returns "no result".

If I call both snippet (simpleSearchForm, and SimpleSearch) in the template (with no landing parameter) all is fine...
