I’m unable to do a fresh install of the latest SVN files - although the config.inc.php file is in place and writeable, I’m always getting the following:
Checking if core/config/config.inc.php exists and is writable: Failed!
For new Linux/Unix installs, please create a blank file named config.inc.php in your MODx core config/ directory with permissions set to be writable by PHP.
What’s your advice?

This happens for me too on svn 2.0 branch upping to r6985, looks like the addition of is_writable2 in r6932 is failing for some reason.
Use MODx, or the cat gets it!
This has been fixed; the check was checking the directory core/config, rather than the file core/config/config.inc.php.
A fix was committed earlier today. Thanks!
