This is weird. I did an advanced install, unchecked the box, etc. and everything went fine except for a handful of warnings, which I’ll include below. I cleared the site cache and browser cache and logged out and back in and everything looked correct, until I went to edit an existing resource. The TV tab is missing category tabs. The visible TVs are mostly missing inputs, with the exception of text inputs, they’re all gone, all I get are labels. The inputs aren’t just hidden, they’re missing entirely (according to Firebug). Any ideas? This is a bit distressing.

I did get some warnings during the upgrade, here they are:

Since you did the advanced, did you make sure all your files got extracted and updated to the proper locations? Sounds like you didn’t get all the files upgraded.

I thought I did. I downloaded the archive to the root of my installation and extracted it there. The config file was not overwritten and the installer was able to pre-populate all the correct paths on the various screens, including the custom manager path. Is there anything in particular that this sounds like I’m missing, or should I revert to a back up and try again with the regular installer?

There are two check boxes on the installer page that indicate if the files have already been extracted from the zip and if the files are already in place. With advanced, these must always be unchecked or the files will not be extracted from the new transport zip nor copied from the extracted transport into the proper locations specified in your configuration. Can you confirm or deny that these checkboxes were unchecked when you ran the upgrade?

              both were unchecked.
And the PHP process had permission to write to all of these locations?

yes, at least it should since it did before and I didn’t change anything.

Well, if you are sure all the files are up-to-date, idk what the problem could be. I can’t reproduce anything similar.

I think I am seeing the same problem, although I am using 2.03-pl. I created a File type TV yesterday and It was working yesterday. Today any new document that I create don’t show this TV correctly. However, the existing document shows TVs correctly and if duplicated from the existing document, the new (duplicated) documents shows the TV field just fine too.

TV tab page which works fine.

TV tab page that’s missing file type input field

                    I re-installed 2.03. The issue persists.

Make sure you have cleared your local browser cache for any old javascript files from the previous version. If you are sure that is not a problem, this may be an error with that specific type of Template Variable renderer and the Resource "create" processor.
