Hello I am new in the world of modx, I am thinking of migrating some projects that I have in Joomla to modx.I already proved the evolution and it is not badly for the projects that I need, but I would like to prove the revolution but I receive the following error after realizes the installation "Could’ no detect MySQL server version!" (image error.jpg) and the image sumario.jpg is the summary for the installation, which brings not even only one error. If someone could help me I would be very grateful.
The information of my local server is:
Apache 2.2.14 (2.2.14-5ubuntu8)
PHP 5.3.2 (5.3.2-1ubuntu4.2)
MySQL server 5.1.41 (5.1.41-3ubuntu12.1)
All in a Ubuntu 10.04 x64
Problem solved in the Revolution RC2

I’m not at all clear what the difference is between these two images. How did you get the first one and then the second one?

I’ve installed local installations of Revolution quite a few times on Ubuntu (or similar Linux distros). You can certainly do it with the the apache/mysql/php packages in your distro’s repositories, but you’ll probably have to do some tweaking before your local server will be configured right.
The easiest way to run a local version of modx Revolution on Ubuntu is to install XAMPP from apachefriends.org and then install Revolution on top of that.
Time is what keeps everything from happening all at once.
Is the firs time that a have a problem with web application i my local web server. The modx evo run fine

It looks like the MySQL Server test may be failing because it’s doing a version_compare() on the ubuntu-terrorized version string. If someone will file a JIRA bug for this, we’ll get it fixed.

Ops sorry i dont see the question.
The first image (error.jpg), is the error message when installation failed, and the second image is the summary of my system before click install button.

These are both the same page in the setup. How are you getting different results from the same action?
