subdomain sessions and login

I can’t seem to get user sessions to work across subdomains. I changed the session_cookie_domain setting to .mydomain.com, but no dice.

do i need to add the setting to each context? is it an access policy issue?

how do i get this working!?

That should do it actually. It could be an access policy issue. Are you getting 404 or 401 responses from the subdomains or any context other than web?

Not exactly sure what you mean, but it looks like the correct responses are being returned. Initially, i had problems getting the Unauthorized page to display instead of the 404 page, but fixed that with help from Bob’s Guides.

Right now, users can log in, but they are only logged in for the context/subdomain they logged in from (i hope i’m explaining myself well enough). So, i can have a different user logged in for each subdomain, and they each share the same cookie. I didn’t even think that was possible...
