Hi guys, sorry if this has been covered, but I can’t find it the answer I need anywhere, although I am sure with the modular system its possible.
What is the solution for an XHTML editor? One of the selling points of MODx is "You can build XHTML 1.1 Strict sites just as easily as a tag-soup laden table layout."
However the default editor is not XHTML compliant and I can’t find an XHTML solution that I can easily include for the content writers.
I would like them to be able to upload images to the resource browser just like FCK can, and postion them as required. I want the style types to be brought in from the CSS, so they just choose its a heading, list or indent and the CSS applies the styles etc to that, not the writer.
Any ideas?

I just had an idea..... where in FCK is the settings for the code it applies for each button? If I can edit that, I can replace it with valid XHTML code.
Only other option was to remove most of the buttons and replace it with fckstyles.xml, but the first option would be better.
Cheers.

I’m not sure and will have to look, but I think either TinyMCE and/or Xinha might be capable of being more XHTML compliant. We’re getting real close to having a good plugin ready for TinyMCE. Still working on Xinha though (damn, it’s a bitch! LOL!)

Hey Jeff,
Thanks for the great work in this area, btw.
Also, you got the lucky corrupted avatar in the forums transfer, so you might want to re-up it. Thanks again!
And such a silly avatar it is! Really shows just how old I am! LOL!
