I’m new to building from SVN, but I followed the instructions. After what appears to be a successful install, I get the following error after I log in to manager:
Error!
No action with 1 found.
I’ve tried this on OSX/MAMP and Win7/XAMPP with exactly the same results. No logs are generated within core/cache. OSX details below:
Web Server:
* PHP 5.3.2
* Apache 2.0.63
* OSX 10.5.8 (though I get the same error on Windows 7 with XAMPP)
Database:
* MySQL version 5.1.44
* modx database shows only 58 tables after install, RC1 had 60
MODx:
* RC2 (rev 6778)
* no changes, followed build from SVN instructions to the letter
Browser/Client:
* latest Firefox and IE

This a new, clean install? Or an upgrade?
Well... I wish the answer was simple. I’m going to go with "clean install" because, in each case I dropped the existing database in mysql and I installed ModX to a different directory. I selected Clean Install in the installer.

I just checked out rev 6779 and made a clean install on XP/XAMPP 1.7.3 and got the same result as Snoop above.
Apache 2.2.14 - PHP 5.3.1 - MySql 5.1.41
The two tables "missing" are two lexicon tables (I guess they should not be there anymore with the new lexicon structure).
Can you check to see if there’s a row in the modx_actions table with namespace of ’core’ and controller of ’welcome’?

Yep it´s there and has lang_topics "welcome,configcheck". ID is 1.
System config:
* PHP 5.2.11-2
* Apache/2.2.14 (Debian)
* MySQL-Client-Version: 5.1.41

I had same problem.
I removed everything in core/cache
it helped me
We are building a very large website with 7 developers working in the modx manager. This happens quite regularly and the core/cache/ folder must be emptied each time. Could this be a bug? I'm yet to actually look at the folder size when this happens, but will try and get the size of the folder when this happens encase it's a folder size issue.

Are you really using version 2.0 of MODX Revolution? These issues should have been addressed in the 2.1.x releases. If you are encountering something similar it might be worth opening a new topic in a more relevant/recently active board.
