    So I am working on a client site, installed MODx 2.0.2 pl. made my chunks, themes and installed all the packages I will be using etc.

    So when I go and do the Blog again everything works but when I select the text I enter in TinyMCE and format it as a paragraph it works but when I check the preview it keeps not rendering the html tags.

    If I select format instead of paragraph it renders fine but it won’t break my paragraphs.

    The Blog post itself is perfectly fine the issue is with the code displayed from this chunk.

    [[!getResourcesTag?
      &element=`getResources`
      &elementClass=`modSnippet`
      &tpl=`blogPost`
      &hideContainers=`1`
      &pageVarKey=`page`
      &parents=`[[*id]]`
      &includeTVs=`1`
      &includeContent=`1`
    ]]
    [[!+page.nav:notempty=`
    <div class="paging">
    <ul class="pageList">
      [[!+page.nav]]
    </ul>
    </div>
    `]]

    I scanned my computer, it’s virus free, I scanned my hosting server with online scanners it’s clean too.

    I have no idea what is going on, is this a bug in 2.0.2 or TinyMCE?

    I find it weird that no one else on 2.0.2 has not reported this if it is an issue, maybe not everyone makes a Blog in MODx.

    I think I’m going to have to resort to using Revo 2.0.1 for my clients site although shaun has already mentioned not to use it.

    Thanks for the help guys.

    Thanks.

      Can you share the contents of your blogPost chunk? Are you using the :ellipsis or :limit output filters by chance?

        This is my blogTPL chunk

        <p><a href="[[~[[+id]]]]">[[+pagetitle]]</a></p>

        <p>[[+introtext:default=`[[+content:ellipsis=`200`]]`]]</p>

        <p><a href="[[~[[+id]]]]">Read more</a></p>

        <br />

        And this is my getResources call

        [[!getResourcesTag?

        &element=`getResources`

        &elementClass=`modSnippet`

        &tpl=`blogTpl`

        &hideContainers=`1`

        &pageVarKey=`page`

        &parents=`4`

        &includeTVs=`1`

        &includeContent=`1` ]]

        [[!+page.nav:notempty=`

        [[!+page.nav]]

        `]]

        The amp is just TinyMCe doing it’s thing.

        Also is it normal to have to clear the cache each time I edit a chunk or snippet in order for the site to recognize the changes?

        Seems odd I don’t remember having to do this as much on 2.0.1 as I do now on 2.0.2

        Thanks for checking.

          The amp is just TinyMCe doing it’s thing.

          Then you should check further on the raw html code.
          You may not put the snippet call with breaklines inside TinyMCE, even tough it was just a copy-pasting. It will parse
          in the middle of snippet.
          If you can see:
          [[!getResourcesTag?
          &element=`getResources`
          &elementClass=`modSnippet`
          &tpl=`blogTpl`
          ...
          ]]

          right on top of TinyMCE, then it surely has been written as
          [[!getResourcesTag? <br />&element=`getResources` <br />&elementClass=`modSnippet` <br />&tpl=`blogTpl`
          ...
          ]]

            That was me making it more readable when using tinyMCE I always use HTML mode to avoid any unwanted tags.

            The getResources call is all in just one long line, I just formatted it so it was easier to read on the forum. smiley

              It’s recent changes to the ellipsis filter causing your problems. It was apparently changed in 2.0.1+ and now turns all tags into entities. Use another snippet that does what the old ellipsis filter did. Here is the Jira ticket, if you want to follow up on it:

              http://bugs.modx.com/browse/MODX-2297

              And here is the code for a custom snippet to do what ellipsis used to do:
              <?php
              $output = $input;
              $limit = intval($options) ? intval($options) : 100;
              if ($usemb) {
                  if (mb_strlen($output, $encoding) > $limit) {
                      $output = mb_substr($output, 0, $limit, $encoding) . '…';
                  }
              } else if (strlen($output) > $limit) {
                  $output = substr($output, 0, $limit) . '…';
              }
              return $output;
              ?>

              Put that code in a snippet, call it maybe myEllipsis, and change your chunk to use it:
              [[+content:myEllipsis=`120`]]

                  I had the same issue with my blog after I upgraded. Thanks OpenGeek, that did the trick.
