Package not found

Hi there!

I’m using MODx Revolution 2.0.0-rc-1 rev6614 and i have a problem installing packages. I can download them in packet manager and the zip files show up in /core/packages just like (i guess) they should. But when i click "install" the packet manager all i see is "Error: Package not found". I tried installing several different packages (Wayfinder, Ditto and FormIt) but it always ends with "Package not found".

Can you confirm:

1. that the transport.zip file was extracted to core/packages/nameofpackage.transport.zip ?
2. That the Package appears in the modx_transport_packages table?

Secondly:

Turn off magic_quotes_gpc, safe_mode, and safe_mode_gid in your php.ini. I’m willing to bet it’s safe_mode that’s causing the issue.

Oh wow. Now i feel stupid Works perfectly without magic_quotes_gpc, safe_mode, and safe_mode_gid.

I’m having this same problem in MODx Revolution 2.0.0-rc-1 rev6614

Packages are in /modx-20/core/packages/*.transport.zip

(But I had to move them there by hand - Package Retriever doesn’t load them in directly.

Packages shows up in transport_packages and in Package Management

And magic_quotes_gpc, safe_mode, and safe_mode_gid are all Off in php.ini

But packages are not found by Install.

And default MODx workspace is set to: /modx-20/core/

And ideas?

Is /modx-20/core/packages/ writable?

Yes: 777

This might be a bug with RC-1 that’s already been fixed; if you click ok and run install, does it work as expected?

No, clicking Install produces: Error: Package Not Found.

If I clear that and go to the next screen I get the same error again for the License Agreement, the Read Me, and the Setup - and all those windows are empty . . .

Hm, sounds like another issue then.

- PHP version?
- MySQL version?
- Server type and version?
- OS/Browser?
- eAccelerator, APC or other caching systems on?
- Any other relevant info?
- Any relevant errors in core/cache/error.log ?
