Custom friendly URL handling (modify 404 handling?)

I was just offering a different approach that i have used successfully in the past; I don’t know why you are getting 404 headers without seeing your Resources and the Elements you are running on them, but I’ve never had that problem with either technique.

Wow i must have been drinking, all the spelling mistakes (which are fixed now).

Well, for now i’ll just leave my custom header HTTP OK there. Next time i’ll look
deeper into this.

It’s really strange that ModX serves a resource to my browser including the 404 header.
If the resource is served, there is no 404 right?

Sure there is; if any URL is requested and is not an actual file or folder on the system, and is not a valid URL in MODx, then MODx returns the error_page with a 404 header from the requested URL.
