Multiple TVs not showing in Edit Resource

Edit Resource -> Template Variables displays TVs at the top and Resource Content at the bottom of the frame.

With multiple TVs the last one often doesn’t appear in the frame.

Reducing the browser text size sometimes brings it into view.

Using TinyMCE however, the third TV is often truncated even at the smallest text setting and the fourth doesn’t appear at all.

Any way to increase the size of the frame holding the TVs? Or to scroll it?

1. What browser/os are you using?
2. List all the TVs and their types that are causing problem to occur.
3. What version of Revolution is this?
4. Are you using any RTE TVs? If so, state which RTE.

I’m on a Mac OS 10.6.3 running Safari 4.0.4 and Firefox 3.6.3

MODx Revolution 2.0.0-beta-5 rev6224

Happens with both RTEs I’ve tried: TinyMCE and CKEditor

All TVs have Input Type: Rich Text and Output Type: Default

Upgrade to RC1. That will solve your problem.

More trouble - having trouble installing RC1 . . .

It installs OK with no error messages - although it did make me create the database, but then it created all the tables without error.

But when I create a page and attempt to save it I get this error:

resource_add_children_access_denied

And User->Profile to update my profile give this error: Permission denied!

So somewhere I don’t have the permissions set properly it seems . . .

OK: installation of MODx Revolution 2.0.0-rc-1 rev6614

solved the disappearing TV problem.

Well, still having problems after upgrade to MODx Revolution 2.0.0-rc-1 rev6614

Here’s what’s happening:

* create document with the default template loads RTE in all TVs and page can be saved

* create document with any other template and TVs do not load RTE and page won’t save - it just hangs on Saving

* changed Default Template in System Settings (and cleared cache) but Create Document still loads the initial default

Failure to save is not showing any errors in the Error Log.

However there are a lot of these:

And occasionally this:

The install was clean as was the package install of TinyMCE.

Then I noticed that there was an R3 version of TinyMCE. So I downloaded the zip file, put it in place in /core/packages/core, uninstalled R2 and installed R3

With the uninstall I got lots of errors in the Console like this:

Skipping modLexiconEntry object (data object does not exist and cannot be removed): Array ( [name] => tinymce_editor_css_selectors_title [topic] => 44 [language] => da )
Skipping modLexiconEntry object (data object does not exist and cannot be removed): Array ( [name] => tinymce_editor_css_selectors_message [topic] => 44 [language] => da )

Now TinyMCE does not show up in System Settings, Editor to Use . . .

When I right click on tinymce in Package Management and select Reinstall it reinstalls TinyMCE with this error message:

That specific version of TinyMCE is not compatible with Revolution RC-1 - it’s only compatible with Revolution RC-2 or SVN. You should try an older version of TinyMCE that is compatible with your install.

OK - I’ve gone back to TinyMCE RC2 and it now can be selected in System Settings and displays on new pages created with the default template.

But when any other template is selected, the RTE disappears in the TVs and the page will not save - it hangs while Saving

If I select another template as default in System Settings I can create and save a page using it - but not when using any other template.
