Updated for SVN but not sure why I still see rev6614

Hi,

I updated for SVN but not sure why I still see rev6614 in the top right corner.

Shouldn’t it be 6680?

Maybe the update did not work.

1. Did you re-run the build and then upgrade via setup?
2. It would show 6614 if you didnt update core/docs/changelog.txt

1. I replaced all the files
2. I rebuilt the core
3. than setup

I’m probably doing something wrong.

I tried it one more time following this guide

It doesn’t seem to work.

I tried one more time for 6682 without success.
Is there a way I can test I’m doing everything the right way? Are there any additional tests I could do?

Here’s a detailed process

1. svn checkout on one of these
* http://svn.modxcms.com/svn/tattoo/tattoo/branches/2.0/ (bleeding-edge)
* http://svn.modxcms.com/svn/tattoo/tattoo/branches/revolution/ (stable)
They should be the same but I see a new folder in 2.0 "nbproject/"

2. archive the revolution folder

3. copy folder to the server

4. unzip folder on the server

5. cp -r revolution/* MY-REVO-INSTALL

6. Execute _build/transport.core.php from URL (no errors, execution time around 3 seconds)

7. Run setup. No errors whatsoever

8. Login in: I still see MODx Revolution 2.0.0-rc-1 rev6614. Clearing cache doesn’t do anything

Is there anything wrong with my process?

On my machines 6682 is the latest of the 2.0 branch, 6614 is the RC1 tag in the stable branch, so if you want 6682 you just want the branches/2.0 checkout, not the stable branch. 6682 doesn’’t exist in stable. The nbproject folder is a netbeans project folder, you can delete this/ignore it.

The message at the top says "tattoo - Revision 6682: /tattoo/branches/revolution" so I assumed they are the same

Yeah, that folder’s gone now. My bad.

We’re about to get rid of the revision numbers as they are misleading anyway. They actually apply to the entire subversion repository, so commits to Evo and Revo (all branches) increment that number constantly and without meaning to a specific branch of development.
