    hello,

On my blog home page where all blog entries are summarized I have used ditto call in which one parameter is &tpl ( the ditto template). In this ditto template I can use tags like [+author+]and [+date+]. But what if I want to display author and date on original blog pages? (I used trying the above tags there but they don’t seem to work).

    thanks..

No, they can’t work, since the placeholders are set by Ditto and can only be used within Ditto’s tpl. The individual blog item pages have nothing at all to do with it, nor does Ditto have anything to do with them. All Ditto is doing is creating a custom-formatted list of pages to display on the main Blog page (where you have the Ditto snippet tags). You could do the exact same thing by hand on your main Blog page; Ditto is just a convenience.

To have that in your individual blog pages, use the AuthorTimestamp snippet.
