ModX modules

Hey there. I saw that in the new version of ModX there is a new concept - the ModX Module. Could anyone explain a little bit how things work with the modules.. or is there a document I can read to understand how to work with modules in ModX?

How do I use phx:phpthumb in the image tv?

I have an image tv and called it with getfield like this:
[!GetField?docid=`20` &field=`Photo`!]

How do I use the phpthumb in the photo field?
