Guestbook

Hey Folks,

is it allready possible to make a guestbook with beta5? I’ll tried ditto but it has only commenting function if the user is logged in.

I believe Quip can do this, I think this is revo’s version of evo’s Jot add-on although I may be wrong here. From the package description :-

A simple commenting system for MODx Revolution, complete with a backend management interface. Requires jQuery. This version is for Revolution 2.0.0-beta5 and later only.

Ah Sorry, I meant Quip. But in the docs of Quip it says:

To comment, users must be logged in

You could file a feature request for a parameter to turn the login requirement off in Quip using the Jira link at the top of this page.

In the meantime, you could find the code that tests for a logged in user and bypass it.

is there a way to access the quip svn or something, so that I could write a patch for that?

Checkout from here http://svn.modxcms.com/svn/modx-components/quip, you can make changes and rebuild the package, install and test locally etc.

Thanks, that was what I searched for. If I finish up the patch, can I post it here? Or is there some other place to post this sort of things?
