Do you guys have an ETA on when the new RTE will be integrated into SVN? I’m getting-ready to start a new project for a client which is due in two weeks and I’d like to take advantage of the new RTE if it’s going to be available by then. Otherwise, I’ll just utilize current SVN version with CKEditor.

I’m not sure what you mean by "the new RTE." TinyMCE is available now (has been for a while) through System | Package Management (at least for the SVN version). I don’t know of any work being done on another RTE, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any.
You’d want to be using the SVN version anyway, I think (though probably not the 2.0 SVN bleeding edge version).

Agreed. Having just one RTE to support should make it worthwhile, especially since it hopefully won’t be doing rogue entifying in MODx tags and trying to "improve" the HTML all the time. Will we get syntax highlighting as a bonus?
Let me know when there’s something to play with.
FYI to all; we scrapped the custom RTE idea in favor of not spending weeks on writing one, and getting RC1 out sooner.
We’ll have CKEditor and TinyMCE available for the RC1 release via Package Management.
