hi,
Please advice on the following 2 problems:
1. How to change the Tiny mce path from default to some other path while inserting images in the resource page of modx manager?
2. I have aggregated my blog pages on a single page by using ditto call. But I want the original image used in the blog page to be resized to a particular dimension to be used on the page with ditto call. Is there any plugin or snippet for that?
Thank You!

1. You can specify a root path for the resource manager in your user’s User tab, but this is somewhat limited. It will still require a folder named "images" for the browser to locate itself.
2. I use the MiniPhoto snippet; it’s easy to use in a Ditto tpl:
<img src="[[MiniPhoto? &file=`[+tvphoto+]` &width=`108` &height=`81`]]" width="108" height="81" alt="" class="photo left" />
I’ve also used phpThumb raw, but it’s a lot bigger and does way more than this simple use requires.
Wouldn’t it distort the pixels in some cases leading to an unclear picture?

It uses the same internal PHP functions that phpThumb does, just not as many options. In some cases either one will distort the image. If your images are going to be wildly variable in size and orientation, then phpThumb may suit better. It’s used in much the same way, instead of the snippet tags the link to phpThumb is inserted into your Ditto tpl using the Ditto placeholder to specify the image to be worked with.
I tried my hands at it and in my ditto tpl I used this call
<img src="[+image :phpthumb=`w=75`+]" alt="" />, where "image" is a template variable .
But it doesn’t output any image. ( just [+image+] is working fine)
(edited) now I am getting new kinds of error.
a) while using "phpthumb" the page outputs some exception error like:
Function ereg() is deprecated
b) while using "miniphoto" also I am getting similar kind of error.
