MODx and SEO htaccess

Hi,

I tried to put a "redirect index to website root" rule to htaccess but it gave me "Access Denied" in resources tree :\

I need it for SEO purpose to avoid dupe content with redirecting domain.com/index.php to domain.com.
Suggestions anyone?

hmm, while it removed "Access Denied" message in MODx manager resources tree it doesn’t redirect index to root. :\

Problem solved

Just noticed that after that .htaccess rule is added page http://domain.com/sitemap.xml becomes http://domain.com/?q=sitemap.xml
If i comment that new htaccess rule, URLs are as they supposed to be but domain lack of index redirecting.

Sorry about that purpler. I can confirm the same behaviour, although I wouldn’t have expected it.
Seems the main modx rewrite is getting re-processed, and this new rule comes into play because it’s a request for index.php
In any case, the following qualifier will solve this particular problem, and hopefully not introduce any other problems. Please test various scenarios before deciding to rely on it.
