didn’t see it anywhere, and was already in the middle of writing a button for the manager that hides the left bar (working with two windows side-by-side, the leftbar is too wide..)
so - it turns out these two and a half shortcuts exists already built-in (
modx.layout.js):
ctrl+shift+<letter>
H = toggle left bar
U = clear cache
N = quick create document
