I would have thought cURL would be enabled by default in XAMPP (along with mod_rewrite). More stuff to remember when we update XAMPP.

Updated my php with curl and sockets support but still no packages.
No errors in apache logs and in modx log.
What should I check next?
Turn magic_quotes_gpc off for PHP.
The only other thing I can think of is suhosin; that can sometimes cause PHP application problems. But I’m not sure of why in this instance.

Oke turned magic_quotes_gpc off, cleared cache and tried again. Still the same problem.
Will try without suhosin. Will build a new php tonight and post the result tomorrow.
You did restart Apache after enabline cURL, right?
Tried without suhosin, still no luck.
(Install php without suhosin, restart apache, clear modx cache, try packagemanager)
Hi,
after enabling cURL I can see all of the downloadables in the package manager.
Sad that, selecting ANY category it lists all of them.
And I can’t find any filter or scrollbar on the box so that I can only see the first 8–10 items.
Is that an issue at me only?
I’m on r6230 from the SVN.
And one more question: I can’t see any of the packages installed pre-b5. Will they be removed automatically upon installing the newer version of them?
