When will Revolution 2.0 be officially released

is there a time frame on the official release, i am looking to put up a new site but want to wait for the V2.0

I hope not too soon as I’m still unable to play with it at all - installation works just fine - but then no joy - newly created pages disappear, browser window says the connection has dropped etc.

well, there is MODxpo being planned for February 2010 in Dallas, TX.
That could give you a hint of by when it is going to be released...

Not sure i’d rush to start a site on it as it has very few snippets and plugins etc.. compared Evolution. I’m talking about things like image galleries, calendars, carts etc..

Revo will be released when it’s done and thoroughly tested. There’s a lot of testing across different environments to do. A better question might be when will Revo’s initial release go to feature/functionality lockdown.

I have been using jQuery to handle 50% (probably more) of what I used to use snippets for.

I have also been using Wayfinder’s templates to manipulate displays to replace quite a few of the evo snippets dealing with presentation of document lists.

I am using Revo as an excuse to change the way I code pages, and so far the sites I have been working on are dominating top positions in every major search engine, but then my sites always do, but Revo makes it easier, because we have more access -- or I am simply using the access I have in new ways.

As far as pages disappearing, that would be a database issue. Check the tables to make sure they are not corrupted.
