unable to use right click in Opera at left menu items

Does not work right-click menu in left navigation. A spend half on an hour looking for button to create a new template before I switched to IE. I think it’s possible to create one additional icon near each menu item and reattach right-click menu to left-click on this additional icon.
I use Opera 10, MODx Revo 2 beta 3, Windows 7

IIRC, this is a known bug with Opera (some javascript thingy). So that browser is not supported for Revo...(for the manager, not for browsing..which should be fine).

Yes, the right-click is historically disabled in Opera, for security reasons if I remember correctly. It has been asked many times on their forums, I think they plan to reintroduce it in the future. I’m using Opera as main browser, but for ModX development, I have to use Firefox

Firefox is the way to go for web development.
And you should have all major browser if possible (chrome, safari, IE, firefox).

No, there is no plans to accommodate the arcane issue in Opera that disables the right-clicking. I know you can re-enable JS right-clicking in Opera somewhere in its advanced preferences.

MODx will not, however, be accommodating the problem - so Revolution will not support Opera. I think, personally, Opera has made a poor choice in this matter that will eventually hurt its business and adoption chances in the current web market.

In the current version of Modx you can click on the document icon to open up the context menu. This eliminates the need for right clicking and thus usable in Opera. Will you be implementing this feature in Revo?

Most likely not; ExtJS doesn’t support this ability.

But if it’s a chance to fix this problem by creating opera-specific icon to each menu item, is including this fix to a Revo release possible or not? Or I’ll just do it for myself only and nobody need this?

If you can figure out how to append such an icon or behavior to a ExtJS TreeNode only for Opera users without breaking layout or core functionality, sure, we’ll add the fix.

I suppose it would be a small button generated with I trying write full script for Opera. When code will be completed I’ll post it here or someone can help me.
