Form Customization

I’ve been a die hard Wordpress user for a while now, but a couple of days ago I was given a link to modx. I’ve since, in my spare time, been reading the wiki. Everything looks amazing.

One thing that I can’t seem to get working is the form customizations. I’m using Revo btw.

I’ve been reading this

It seems that if I wanted just one page for my clients that this would suit. I have a tv3 which I want to put in the first panel when I create or update a resource. No matter what I try following the tutorial, it doesn’t seem to work. The TV stays in Variable page underneath it’s category tab.

I have used the same settings as the one in the wiki only changing the tv value.



Any help appreciated!

The Name: is the name of the Tab...

So for example, I create a new tab in my sites named SEO.
Then I move TVs to it and in the form I use:

Name: SEO

Be aware that you will probably need two rules, one for
resource/create and one for resource/update...

Also keep in mind that the Value is the numeric value of the TV- not the name you give it. So I’ve got a TV called "Callout". In the Elements panel, it looks like: callout (4).

So in the Form Customization, I use tv4 to target it.
