I was banging my head on this one for hours (revolution beta-3), when I decided, in desperation, to try a different browser. It looks like OmniWeb, at least in my case, was the culprit as the manager worked in every other browser I tried. I hope this at least saves someone else some frustration.
So I submitted this to OmniGroup as a potential bug with OmniWeb (I mean, it’s just web-kit... so if it runs in Safari it should run identically in OmniWeb). They just got back to me... apparently, if you go to your site preferences and set "Identify to web servers and scripts as:" to something supported (Safari 4 is a logical choice), then everything works fine.
