Best practice in moving from DEV to LIVE?

Is it simply the same as http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Moving+Your+Site+to+a+New+Server ?

OK, let me restate the question... it was too early in the morning, with nowhere near enough tea consumed!!

I develop my site on my laptop, and then upload to the live webserver at a later stage.

Reading the manual in the previous post, the process now appears to be:
1. Export DEV database
2. Import to LIVE database
3. FTP any CSS files / images / etc
4. FTP changes in core/components
5. FTP changes in core/packages including the ZIP files
6. Update the path in the "_workspaces" table


Is my understanding correct?

Should always run the upgrade so that it corrects the paths, also from memory of moving theres about 5 config files that may need editing ( can’t remember the paths to them though )

Actually just run the upgrade to try and correct a path issue and it fixed the issue!

So I guess then...

6. Change permissions of setup folder
7. Run upgrade setup
8. Change permissions of setup folder
