I have wondered if this is a bug in MODx Revo but I’m also considering the possibility it might be something in my setup, Safari or my Safari preferences.
I work on a Mac & this problem only happens with Safari, both Firefox & Chrome are Ok, but for me its a bit of a pain because Safari is the browser I prefer to do my development in.
For as long as I’ve been using MODx (starting with Revo 2.0.8 earlier this year) saving new or edited resources never seems to complete. The box with "Please Wait..." & "Saving..." just stays with the progress bar filling up & starting over again & again. Normally I break out of it by clicking the back button of my browser & the resource is saved anyway.
Tonight I setup a new MODx install, my first with v 2.1.2, to work on some template development in. I’m finding that when I select a change of template on a resource, either new or one I’m editing, my template selection never sticks. I get the prompt to confirm, click Yes, it starts saving & in the background Uses Template reverts to Base template. When I reload that resource after giving it some time to save it is still using Base template.
Mac OS X 10.6.8, Apache 2.2.17, PHP 5.3.6, MySQL 5.1.57, pdo_mysql installed.
Anyone got any clues?
