When saving new template, the ID of the document doesn't parse

I recently upgrading to Rev 2.1.1 from 2.0.8.

When I edit a resource, and change the template, the URL does not parse the ID of the document.

For example:
../manager/?a=30&id=&template=2&activeSave=1

Should read:
../manager/?a=30&id=20&template=2&activeSave=1

Has anyone had a similar issue? It appears to only happen when I change the template. If I add in the resources’ ID it does work.
