Site is missing after update

I use a managed server ... so I can’t access the php error log - but I wrote to my provider when you first mentioned it... I’m still waiting...

Can you set php ini values in your .htaccess? If so, you can try changing display_errors to 1 and see if it will show the errors on the site.

I can’t access anything above my htdocs directory :-(
If I can do it with my limited rights I would be happy if you could tell me how.

You can ask your hosting company how to change that value (display_errors) in php.ini, as suggested by OpenGeek.

Sometimes you can control php.ini from your hosting control panel, sometimes you can just upload a file php.ini to your htdocs directory.

Do you have a backup of your site previous the upgrade?...
May be it’s faster for you to restore the site and do the upgrade process once again...

Still waiting for my hoster - very unusual. I usually don’t have to wait longer then 60 minutes.

I have a backup - And I installed it: No problem, everything workes fine. After upgrading again I had the same problems like bevor: The manager workes fine, the website is just white.

At least I gave up.

I killed the db, deleted the complete modx folder and startet again.
With a complete fresh installation (also 2.1.1, same download like this morning) I now had (almost) NO PROBLEMS!
