Just downloaded and installed 2.1.1 - no sample site available in extras? Any ideas?

Install via Package Management.
It doesn’t appear in the Package Management in the back end of my site?
That’s weird, I couldn’t find it either.
Try downloading from the link I gave you, then go into Package Manager and choose ’search locally for packages’.
Ok - Sorted it - I’m on a mac and something strange happened with the .zip file. Used Firefox rather than safari for download and all OK.
But - modx chaps - how many people that have downloaded Revo and never used modx before end up just walking away because all they get is a white screen on installation and no instructions of how to download install the sample site? You must be missing thousands of opportunities a month?
Totally agree with you there - I think there should be an option when downloading modx for a ’beginner install’, including the default template, an introduction to templates, chunks and snippets, and also links to the relevant docs. Much more friendly for new users!
