2.1.1 - some niggly session issues

Got 2 devs working in manager, under separate usernames.

Both noticed if you leave manager alone for 5 mins, then go back to it and try and save a page - you will get the info popup saying "saving" which closes after some time making you think the page had saved. If you then refresh the manager page you are presented with the login window (possibly expired session)

Not sure if its the session setting on the server which casues it to expire after only 5 mins, however surely there should be an error message when trying to save?

I gues the ajax page saving function you have checks if the session is still valid and either saves or not, however it doesnt display a fail message? (presumption)

whoopsie i think this might have been caused by our server running out of disk space

That is an interesting situation that I would recommend you file as a bug report. MODx should provide feedback that the save failed and/or the session timed out, rather than just leave you to wonder what happened.
