2.1.1-pl Manager behaving strangely

I just upgraded to 2.1.1 from 2.0.8 and now the Manager is acting really strange.
This is what i noticed:
- resource-tree is not loading, sometimes not even icons for creating new resources etc.
- when creating a new resource and changing template, sometimes nothing happens
- sometimes I have to hit F5 4-5 times before left-column including resource tree is showing up
The frontend works perfectly.
I can get the job done in the manager, but sometimes it takes a lot of tries and page-refreshing and is really anoying.

I attached some screenshots.
I even tried to install a totally fresh site on a subdomain, but exactly the same behaviour here.

I tried firefox 3.6, Chrome 12.0 and IE8 - same problem in all of them. (win xp and linux)

There doesn’t seem to be anything in error-log


Here is some tech info:
-modx 2.1.1-pl (Traditional)
-mysql 5.1.56
- php 5.2.9
- PDO Driver for MySQL, client library version: 5.1.56
- linux server
Apache version: 2.2.17
PERL version: 5.8.8

Try these steps (do all of them in order, without testing in between):

Log out of the Manager.
Manually delete all files in the core/cache directory.
Clear your browser cache *and* cookies.
Run Setup (again).

I tried your steps, but it doesn’t seem to help anything.
Furthermore I noticed that I can’t toggle the Success messages/Warnings after setup - in the Installation Summary.
Any ideas?

Here are some possibilities:

You may have a corrupted file in the new version.
Some new files may not have overridden the old files.
Some permissions or ownerships may have changed on files or directories.
You may be using a non-supported browser.
