Duplicate resources including children

Isn’t it possible to duplicate resources and also it’s children in 2.1.1 anymore?

Yes, I ran into the same issue and need urgent help to manage how to duplicate 4 language container containing a lot of other container.
To do that all by hand will take several hours that I don not have!
Did I miss a button somewhere in the depth of Revo?

I still couldn’t find a way to manage that. There are actually two ways of duplicating resources:

- Right click a resource and select duplicate resource. Here you can’t even choose whether you want to duplicate child resources or not.
- Within a resource you can select "duplicate" in the top resource menu. The following message (at least in german) mentions that it will also duplicate child resources. But it doesn’t.

I hope someone can help us

In the german forum I got this hint by »Bruno«:

als quick’n’dirty hack kannst Du in

/core/model/modx/processors/resource/duplicate.php

$duplicateChildren = !empty($scriptProperties['duplicate_children']); 
$duplicateChildren = true; //<- diese Zeile einfügen

dann werden immer alle Kinder mitdupliziert.

Do I just need to upload the four updated files to the relevant folders on my installation of Revolution? I tried this yesterday, but it made my resources tree blank in MODX Manager.

The answer to my above question is yes. However, my resources tree in MODX Manager became blank yesterday because i didn’t download the files in the correct format; Need to click on View file @... > right-click Save As on the Raw link to download the files in the correct format.

I had the same issue as Heaven’s Best Corp. in http://bugs.modx.com/issues/5025 after uploading the files; so had to set compress_js and concat_js to No in System Settings (on my localhost). Though changing these settings is meant to affect website performance.

Just found that setting compress_js to No on my production server causes Manager to stop working properley - no right-click menu, no main content window when editing a resource and not able to log out
