New instalation - problem with package download,

Hello,
I just installed Revo 2.1 on Apache server (php 5.3.4) and when I wanted to upload a snipped via package manager i got error message:
Could not download package at: http://modx.com/extras/download/?id=4dd402c4f2455473fd000008

When I viewed Error log I got this:

Unfortunatly I don’t have a access to php setting to make the proper changes.

could You advice what I can do ?

safe_mode must be disabled to run MODX Revolution.

Actually looking to my php info I can see:
safe_mode Off

Found the problem and solution.

That particular hosting provider had this option to change some of php settings. One of those was: allow_url_fopen. I’ve change it to ON and that solved my problem.
