I am experiencing some interface glitches.
When hitting a single download button, they all display: downloading. (See attachment)
It might be a new speedy way to download multiple packages, but you only get one down.

PS: Should issues like this be reported here or directly at http://bugs.modx.com/

You should report bugs here: http://bugs.modx.com/

But this is not a bug; the buttons all do that to prevent you from downloading anything else before the first download finishes.

        Thanks for the patience

So it´s okay to post these issues here ?

I see your point, but in the previous versions, the other buttons where just greyed/faded and displaying either "download" or "downloaded", now they all say "downloading".
And that still gives the user an experience of downloading all the packages. Well it´s a minor issue, and in general the Manager Interface has come along way, so keep it up.

By the way where did you get the icons, and would modx be interested in a custom designed set to the new manager ? Is it to early, it seems like everyone is a bit scared by the backend code, and are waiting for the next Ext-js ?

Agreed, the system could probably be tweaked a bit to help with that confusion.

Sure, but I don’t know how much changing we’ll do before the next mgr redesign, since most of our documentation uses pictures of the current (IOW, don’t want to introduce thematic changes unless necessary!).

Nah. We’ve encouraged people to develop with ExtJS3 for the time being. It’s going to be *quite* a while before we upgrade to Ext4 in MODX. There’s a lot to it - redo all the CSS, redo all the base MODExt classes, hope (or convert ourselves) the 3rd party extjs extensions we’re using have Ext4 equivalents - not to mention all this has to be done on at least a minor (2.x) release, because it will break all Extras that have a Custom Manager Page.

Change happens a bit slower now in MODX, since we’re bigger, more stable, and much more adopted.

            Thanks for the info.

            1. Love the interface ... just wanted to make it superb ... it might help MODX to grow ... and appeal even more to not backend developers.

            2. I originally did my icon project for Evo, then i redid for Revo, but crashed on how to implement it. I will set it on pause for now.

            3. I am getting the first user feed-back from Revo, and are collecting a list with screendumps of issues like this. Many of the things, I see, as UI Glitches have been around since the first version of Revo, and could maybe easily be fixed by a person with a higher level of coding skills than mine.

            4. If/When you decide to give it a go, i will be happy to take some work of the shoulders of the community, and do the screendumping, icons etc.

Again, thanx for 2.1 .. and the speed ... I am now working with the seatbelt on.
