In modx 2.1.0-rc4, if I have a document thats not in the root, I.E its in a folder or a sub document of another document. If I try to set its parent to "web" it fails and doesnt move the document. Moving to any other location works, up or down.
Can anyone else replicate this? If so I will file a bug report.
I tested in 2.0.8 and this problem does not exist.
If I manually set it in the DB to parent=0 then it goes back to normal.
If I create a new context, the problem still exists.

I just tried this with an unpublished resource (its a live site) and...
If I use drag and drop in the tree structure it works fine
If I use the pull down select thingie next to ’Parent Resource’ it tells me to "Please select a node..." (it should really give me some choices! hint hint ) and if I choose web it does not work, anything else works fine (after a save of course)
So yes I can replicate your finding.
I did not try it in the database - though as I said it does work to drag and drop which is what I do because I find it annoying to click on a menu and expect a choice and be told to go click somewhere else!

I also cant turn off container on a document even when it has no children.
I cant login to the bug tracker yet, so I will report this when I can.
