Making 2.0.8-manager working with ie9

Hello,

I’m using 2.0.8-pl and need the manager to work with IE9. I’d like to use 2.1 but have to stay on that version until several components are ported.

I tried to manually implement these fix via github, but couldn’t solve all the problems:

I updated these files to the newest version:
manager/assets/ext3/adapter/ext/ext-base-debug.js
manager/assets/ext3/adapter/ext/ext-base.js.
That made the resource tree working again.

Drag and Drop is still not working, and the right-click-menu does never disappear after it got visible.
Could anyone help out and tell me where I can find the other fixes?

Are there ’other fixes’ - that is apart from using a different browser?

Have you tried just clicking the compatibility mode icon (the broken document thing next to the URL bar) in IE9?

What add-ons work in 2.0.8 that don’t work in 2.1? I’m not aware of any.

Internet Explorer 9 is hit and miss with even 2.1 rc4.

Sometimes it works, other times it will not.

Tress do not expand, and sometimes the page simply hangs - with or without compatibility turned on.

I would suggest trying to dump the browser cache, and going from there.

I use 6 web browsers and only IE gives problems in the Manager - so yes use another browser if you don’t want to deal with this.

Ext JS 3 (used by the manager) has issues with IE9 (and other IE versions) search their site to read about it.
I have not checked recently but I think I remember reading that version 4 of ExtJS will (or may) work with IE9
- but I seem to also remember reading that there are not immediate plans to use it for the Modx manager - it would require considerable work to update and in any case ExtJS 4 final has only been out a month.
