Parse error: syntax error on trying to load install page.

is the error I get after uploading all the ModXCMS files and then going to my webpage to start the install. It’s the first and only thing I see. i used to be getting Error 500s until i renamed the "ht.access" files to ".htaccess"

Anyone have a clue how to fix this. This is the first time I have ever had a problem with any ModXCMS install >.<.

I’m running an old ModX on my own site www.dakfilms.org. But the one I am trying to setup on www.claritylegion.com is the one i’m having trouble with!

You did run Setup, right?

Can you get into the Manager?

Try deleting all the files in the core/cache directory and clearing your browser cache and cookies.

Also, it’s not uncommon for one or more files to get corrupted or lost during the file transfer. It could be a corrupted or missing file.
