upgrading 2.0.8 to 2.1.0 errors

Upgraded revo 2.0.8pl to 2.1.0.rc but unfortunately the site is not working after the upgrade. I am able to login, an browse through the manager but file preview and going to the pages directly (within the browser) is not working and giving a http error 500 (internal server error) .Below the error messages in the modx manager log right after upgrading.

Any thoughts?

No thoughts about these errors other than to say that I hoped you backed up your site before upgrading which according to the announcement one shouldn’t do this kind of upgrade until it’s publicly released.

Was this traditional or advanced?

I have similar problems (error 500 when trying to open a resource in manager) after upgrading from 2.0.7 to 2.1 RC3.
My sytems specs are:

What do you mean by "open a resource in the manager"? Do you mean try to Preview the Resource from the manager? Or is the 500 error when you try to actually edit the Resource in the manager UI?

Most of those errors you posted are normal and nothing to worry about when using the traditional release since all the files to be copied are already in place. You should be able to fix the duplicate URI problem by seeing why the Resource with id = 20 is returning a blank URI. That should not happen unless there is a problem with the data. Post some details about that Resource if you can’t figure it out. Otherwise, those are all normal.

Yes, i try to edit and get the error 500. I logged out of the manager before upgrading as recommended in the setup routine.

Something must be wrong with the installation. I have upgraded several sites from 2.0.8 to 2.1.0 and experienced nothing like this. Did you FTP transfer the files individually? Traditional or advanced? If advanced, did you make sure all the MODX files were writable by the PHP process and thus got updated by the installer?

I did the following
downloaded traditional modx via wget on machine where modx runs
unzipped it
copied all files to the directory where the previous installation (modx 2.0.8 ) lives:
cp -R modx-2.1.0-rc3/* www/
and then mywebsite.com/setup
no errors occured during setup
logged into manager (works fine)
try to edit a resource
error 500
