I would like to setup a user that when logged in will go direct to the site with the QuickManager bar showing. The user will be confused in the standard manager concole. Any idea how I can setup an Editor use to do this?
Just set them up as normal with admin controls but dont allow them access to the admin section, they will have to goto the admin login page but when they login they will be shown another page to go back to the site where the Q-manager will be so they can edit resources etc.
Another option is to use manage manager so that they only see what you want them to see within the manager.

In the user’s User tab you can specify what page in the front-end you want them to go to on login. You can also prevent access to the Manager altogether in the role. And the QuickManger link to the Manager can be removed.
