New SVN Commit Format

How should we format our commits to SVN when they reference a task in Jira? I know in Flyspray we used FS#123...

Depends on what the task is. If it’s in the MODx Project, then: [MODX-##] (eg [MODx-23] Task here...).

The list is:

#MODX-123 - MODx CMF issues
#XPDO-123 - xPDO issues
#ADDON-123 - MODx Add-On issues
#EXT-123 - MODx Core Extension issues


And always make sure the task reference is at the beginning of the line.

Actually, please use the following format to automatically get links anywhere in the comments:

#MODX-123
#XPDO-123
#ADDON-123
#EXT-123

See http://svn.modxcms.com/crucible/changelog/modx/?cs=3410 for a sample of how to reference the task at the beginning of the line (i.e. in brackets) as well as within a line (no brackets required). The # at the beginning of each reference is the key to automatically generating links in Fisheye/Crucible.

This is just from observation, but it looks like the "#" isn’t even needed. As shown in the attached screenshot, it’s not linked. Is this true or just am I just crazy?

It’s not needed for Jira, but is for the linkers I created for Fisheye/Crucible.
