This way we will have the ability to see if a resource needs to be updated. Two good uses of this are as follows:
1. Seeing if a snippet’s dependencies are installed and are of the required version. Example: DittoCal or Reflect requiring a certain Ditto version.
2. Checking if a newer version of a resource is available.

Good call ... Jeff is getting around this in the installer by comparing the resource description field... if it’s different than the "default" it’s assumed to be different. A hack, but works.
