Template/Chunk validity Check?

Has anyone done this? A plugin that does some simple regex’s on the onSave event to check for any errors in your templates or chunks (hell, maybe it could even use the MODx parser to check for errors)? I’m talking about the simple stuff like you forgot a "?" after your Snippet name or you forgot to use two "]]" to close a tag. If you could check for integrity onSave then pop an error, it’d be awesome... save lots of time.
