Ditto: drop tv prefix?

    I now have the abillity to remove the tv prefix from Ditto and doing so would greatly increase performance as I could drop about 15% of the current codebase that was specific to getting TVs. But, it would break backwards compatibility. So, what are you thoughts?

      Drop it and advise them to upgrade with a new name like "DittoNew" and then modify the calls as needed.

            Sadly, it looks like this will not be happening for a while. The current MODx API is missing several critical functions to make this work, most of it dealing with how tvs are stored (in their raw, not processed form). This keeps me from using SQL to sort and filter tvs. As it has been said before, SQL sorting and filtering is far faster than PHP on large arrays... So, until then...
