Well, it’s easy to do the questionning, and harder to do the "real" work (*), but I am a little unclear about some very important things regarding our projects and I think everyone would benefit from a little status check on the key items :

    1) When do we plan to release 0.9.5 ? Is there a rough estimate ? What additions will be in the next release ? I seem to remember DropMenu was being refactored (some quirks still remain in there, some fixes are scattered accross the forum). Will Ditto ship with the next release (that would be great, considering the great improvements). I read Timon’s post about finding an alternative to MCPUK, namely phpxplorer... will it make it (would be awesome !) ? Also, I read Jason’s post about xPDO for 0.9.5 thus I am guessing this release will pack much more items than originally planned... what else ?

    2) It’s connected to 0.9.5 but where are we on the manager being revamped ? We had tested the manager theming but I think I read somewhere Jeff was working on something too, loosing frames if I remember correctly ?

    3) Garry and Kyle have been working on the FileCabinet/ Repository thingy, how are things going in that department ?

    4) Zi made some proposal recently to revamp the Documentation section, organize things and move forward. I am willing to contribute, where do I sign up wink ?

I probably have forgotten a few things, feel free to fill in the blanks !

(*) Especially since I have some trouble creating time to make marketing move forward... I’ll write an update soon about that in the Marketing forum.

Garry and I are getting close to a complete test version of the repository. We are hoping to have the test version ready soon so that the team members can give it a good run through before we make it available to the public. We will have more information for you on this in the near future smiley

In regards to revamping the manager, I started doing alot of work to just cleanup the layout and code, pull out alot of the direct links to images, and redoing the manager theme itself. Ryan told me that one of our new guys, Chris, has done alot of work and got it to a point where the frames have been removed. I held off till I could get a copy of the updated code in hopes that it would eliminate alot of redundant work. However, I still haven’t been able to look at the code so I have no idea. So...I’m continuing on for now and I think we’ll at least have a fallback for the 0.9.5 release. With the work I’m doing, the manager will still have frames but the underlying HTML code will be in much better shape and will set a clear path to removing the frames for good. Plus, the manager theme will be a great step in the right direction to rebranding MODx. smiley

          More to come...

            David,

Ryan, Jason, and I have all been busy up to our elbows in a project that will help us pay the bills for a bit grin We’re almost at the end of it, and when we come up for air, I think you’ll start seeing development fly along at an amazing rate. Stay tuned for some great goodies.

I have no doubt you will !
Great news to see that business is doing fine on your end too (things are really taking off on the french side ! I’ll start cashing a little too and be more available this summer for MODx, and making a donation too grin)... with all the time spent on MODx, I was worried that the financial balance would be hard to keep for the dev team...

Really, nice update guys I had no doubt things were rolling, but man this is sweet news !
We’ll no doubt keep the momentuum with all this, and that’s nice because it’s a hard thing to keep such a fast paced project rolling....
