Alternative for MCPUK

Did you already check out http://www.phpxplorer.org/ ? It might be a cool alternative for FCKEditor’s Ressource Browser. I’m currently trying out if it’s possible to include it as a plugin for MODx.

Interesting find indeed; please keep us informed. Seems to run a bit slow, but maybe that’s the demo server.

I’ve looked at phpXplorer one time before...even downloaded it and played around with it a bit. However, after looking at the core code...well...it just looked like it would be a royal pain trying to properly integrate it with MODx. I might download it again and take a second look...you never know! But in the meantime, it’s starting to look more and more like a better solution would need to be created from scratch. Also, word has it that the developer for the MCPUK plugin is working on overhauling it and creating a new version. Hopefully we’ll see something new soon.

The phpxplorer is indeed very, erm, complicated - but the worst thing is that it’s not documented at all Anyway, some steps worked for me and I’ll stay playing around with it.
