I like that name, it sounds more than just a template, because template repository is definetely something that is more appropriate for bloated software that have a very complex templating system, while in our case template is something that doesn’t even require skill, but it will let a first timer or someone who doesn’t know design to use it for free. So naming it templatopia is like... Ehmm.. Dunno how to say this, but I like that name anyway

Not to throw a wrench in the works or anything, but we might want to consider calling Templates Skins. Skins sounds much more hip to me and it seems like the perfect association for Tattoo. If we want to share the same template repository between MODx and Tattoo it might be good to consider a common name.

What’s the different between template and skin? I’m just curious though. Look over it on dictionary.com and ended up becoming more confused. Anyway, it’s like saying CMS System, but it does becoming a cool way of saying thing. For example PHP, which the last P is being taken from the first word, to make repetition.

Well whichever it is, as long as everybody agree on it, it will be awesome. But having this repository being built inside the repository system that we are going to have for all our snippets and etc will be more awesome, considering all the templates will relate directly with the external resources created mostly by the community.

On a side note, I tend to think of templates as being structural changes to things, and skins as being purely cosmetic. But "Tattoo’d Skins" does have some distinct marketing flair to it that more than compensates for the minor difference in my mind.

Somehow that imagery brought to mind the rumored lampshades made from the tattoed skins of people killed in Buchenwald...a bit of cultural baggage here.

(although tatooed skin was kept, the lampshade story is doubtful)
