Mark you think you could get the Ajax sorting menu and the SlimStats 0.9.0 working for the next rev too? I think both of those would be great for the next release, too, both as defaults... it seems like we could replace the stats based on the poll that ran, as long as there’s some built in data.

I did promised mark that I’ll add this in for him that if he hasn’t yet done so.

There are a few other things that needs looking at and I’ll get to those as well.

What does everyone think about doing 0.9.2 as a minor bugfix/installer fix release, with no major or minor feature addition pressures? The focus really would be on the security and bugs that’ve been identified to date and some of which for which fixes have already been committed.

I’m ok with that. I’m still trying to put all the pieces together for a possible resource browser replacement and I doubt I’ll get it ready for a 0.9.2 release. Got a few bug fixes to commit myself and I’m planning on hopping on the bug tracker for more. laugh

That would be much appreciated, I keep getting tangled up in the various patches and fixes floating around, especially those for the regClient javascript and css.

I second that as well. So it means that the pressure will be for netnoise wink

So far I have no major responsibility with snippets, because most of the snippets that I release is not stable yet. BUt for now I’m working on:

                  • Calendar (alpha/test release done)
                  • Newsletter (still need queueing system and minor bug fix)
                  • UserMgmt (Need to work on better and simple templating system for using only one chunk, and planning to apply to all my snippet and put this one inside library folder)
                  • DocTools (I lost interest in doing this, but I might get to this later, when I really have a lot of free time wink)
                  • phorum5 integration (need to work on user auth based on MODx
                  • phpfreechat integration (still trying to get this running on my server, lol)
                  • Library Package (UserDBClass, SimpleTemplateClass, AuthenticationClass) - Still working on it, so far only the UserDBClass done.

So basically everything is still not ready yet.

Raymond, I plan on making one more revision of the AJAX menu stuff to improve the UI a little more (matching colors for unpublished, etc). As soon as I take care of that I’ll post it on the forums and it’ll be ready for integration.

Nice idea Mark, it’ll give an overview of where we respectively are...

This week I have made a summary of what has been said @the IM Marketing conference (refer to the marketing mailing list : http://lists.modxcms.com/pipermail/modxbiz/).

I’ll now turn these ideas into an actual Plan with objectives/means/method/owner, which I’ll run by everyone via the mailing list next monday. Once this gets validated, I’ll start taking action !

To give a rough idea of the main items, it means :
                      1) Add MODx to listing and have the current listings upadted with 0.9.1 (and setup the update process).
                      2) Roaming every forum frequented by our target for 2006 (=> 2nd tier users) : stylegala, sitepoint.... The aim is to create buzz and attract designers and coder to MODx (we talked about Flash Demos and Tutorials / Case Studies as ammo to do that). For instance I’ll certainly jump in this thread this w-e grin
                      3) coordinate efforts to publish articles/podcasts in targeted webzines
                      4) following up on Zi’s Giving back, how to?, give some pointers to would-be contributors.
                      5) Lot of other stuff...
