From what I’ve seen on some of the general installation errors, it looks like some people are getting corrupted downloads. I am pretty sure most people don’t bother checking such things, but maybe there should be a checksum available to compare the download against the original?
Sounds like a good idea to me.

It’s built into the bootstrap installer that will be coming out with 3.3 or 4...
