0962 is up next

The next release will incorporate the security changes and we should put it out soon. I’d also like to see Susan’s super-cool manager help tweaks included as well, coirico’s AjaxSearch improvements and a more recent Ditto build. Nothing that we need to wait on but stuff that’s ready now.

Any other suggestions or tweaks that everyone would like to see?

Nice to see susan’s Help tweak will make it, it will be very appreciated though as you say if you setup and train people well, you can have very low tech profiles using MODx with almost no support. Can’t hurt to have a reminder help file though

What else ? Well, I would have said AjaxFileManager + TinyMCE / FCK modified version, but those path issues are a no-go if I understand correctly what Jeff told me Too bad, since I really like this new file manager. On the other hand, that would make a great nugget for 0.9.6.3

As for coroico’s work, I am quite pleased that he joined the testing team, he did well indeed !

I’d like to get it out no later than end of this week with the security exploit still alive and kicking in the current 0.9.6.1 downloads.

I’m just curious how to update some typo in language files?, updates are ready but how could it be done? where i have to submit the updates?

Glad I caught this thread. I second the inclusion of an updated Ditto build--we have been using Ditto 2.1 beta with great success for some time now, and even up through 2.1b3 in some scenarios.

may be include WebLoginPE instead of WebLogin/WebSignup ?

We’ll probably not add any new resources as not everyone even needs weblogin functionality, and that only serves to muddle the picture of what the core is vs. what 3rd party add-ons are. In the future, we’ll put together vertical distributions with lots of add-ons though and WebloginPE would certainly be a candidate for those.

Following up on "What’s wrong with the MODx security", I wouldn’t want to give any more ETA on 0.9.6.2 but could we set up a link toward the latest security patch, the guy has a point here, we can’t leave "This release below contains the latest security patches and many bug fixes." or maybe we should just set up a permanent link towards the security forum ?

Hi David, that’s a good idea. We need to put a disclaimer in about the configuration issue that makes this a vulnerability I’d think. Could you by chance draft a sentence or two?
