I just downloaded the latest "trunk" of 0.9.6.1, and it says it’s version 2784. My local copy, installed a few weeks ago, says that it is version 2853.

Susan, first, are you pointing to the new SVN repository (svn.modxcms.com) or the old one at cvsdude.com? Make sure you’ve relocated any svn checkouts to the new location as indicated in the post about the SVN server move.
Second, the latest history on branches/0.9.6 is @ 2912 and trunk/ is @ 2784, but there are only 11 commits on the branch since the last merge with trunk.

My earlier installation was from the old repository, and what I just downloaded is from the new one. Thanks, it had me puzzled.
